7.9 Shoreham Preschool Fee Policy

Shoreham Preschool operates a service which is fair and competitively priced. We aim to offer a high-quality service, in a safe and stimulating environment where the needs of individual children are met.

Sessions run from 9-12pm, 12pm-3pm and 9am– 3pm Monday-Thursday and 9am to 12pm on a Friday, term time only.

(there is no session on Friday afternoons as we have our team meeting)

To help cover our admin costs we ask for a voluntary annual contribution of £50 (subject to change) per child at the beginning of each academic year.

Current fees 2026/27

Morning sessions are £24.00

Afternoon sessions are £24.00

All day £48.00

Sickness

If a child is absent due to sickness or other reasons the fee will remain in place as the preschool will have kept their place open and still have to employ and pay staff.

Holidays

Shoreham Preschool is open term time only in line with West Sussex County Council term dates. If a parent chooses to take their child on holiday or take ad hoc days off during term time, fees will still be payable to cover the cost of staffing for their place.

Emergency Closures

If we are forced to close preschool for reasons beyond our control such as, failed heating, extreme weather, flooding, insufficient staffing etc. there will be no refund of fees as costs to Preschool remain the same. E.g. rent, insurance and staff wages. Where possible we can offer an alternative session.

Payment of fees

At the beginning of each term, parents will receive an invoice by email. If EYFE funded payments are used this will show a zero amount and will be for information only.

Fees should be paid each term within 14 days of the date of the invoice. They should be paid online or through your government tax free childcare account.

Late payment of fees

Fees should be paid within 14 days of the payment date given on the invoice. If payment is not made within this timescale a reminder will be sent and the invoice should be settled straight away, if more time is needed to make the payment please speak to either Bekki or Emma.

If fees continue to be outstanding your child’s place will be at risk.

Should a problem arise concerning payment of fees parents should speak to the preschool Office Manager as soon as possible to enable the Preschool to come to an agreement regarding payment. Confidentially will be assured.
